Let's unlock the beauty of each note together!
I received my Bachelor of Music in Piano at the highly accredited program at Memorial University’s School of Music. My primary instructors include accomplished performer and teacher, Timothy Steeves (Memorial University) and Dr. Lindsey Wright (University of Utah).
I consider life-long learning a priority and is always looking for every possible opportunity to further my education. This includes taking private lessons via Zoom and travelling to obtain the best experiences possible. I have had the opportunity to study in Europe, Japan, and Teacher Training Institutes throughout Canada and the United States. Most recently I have begun studying all levels of Kindermusik to give children the opportunity to build the foundation of musicianship and love of music from the earliest possible age.
Always interested in Piano Pedagogy, I began my teaching career at The School of Music. Upon its closure, I took the opportunity to open her own piano studio. The setup of my current studio houses two grand pianos, optimizing the learning experience for all her students. Twenty years later my studio continues to thrive through personal development and enjoyment, examinations, and music festivals.
Believing that everyone should have the joy of music in their lives, I have taught students as young as 3 years old to beginners at the age of 70. I enjoy the challenge of teaching all sorts of personalities and learning styles.
Kindermusik is the world’s leading provider of music-based education for children from birth through age seven. It is a research-based music and movement curriculum that has helped millions of children around the world build a strong foundation for a lifetime love of learning.
